The 7th Annual Portland Waiters Race (July 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Jamison Park) is aimed at promoting local restaurant and bar businesses and at the same time allowing their employees to win sizable prizes. Waiters, waitresses, and other employees in traditional Parisian waiter’s attire will attempt to balance trays while completing three laps around Jamison Square Park.
