National Waiter/Waitress Day

garcon place du tertre This year, let’s celebrate the Waiter/Waitress Day!

It seems like an American invention but no one really knows the origin of that day. The National Waiter/Waitress Day which occurs every May 21st has been accepted those last years in the USA as the day that recognizes the waiter staff. Even if -still- not a lot of people are aware of that day, some have got into habit of tipping a little more on that day.

If you are a restaurant/cafe owner, a good idea to promote that day would be to place a sign on your window saying ‘’It’s National Waiter/Waitress Day – don’t forget to better tip your waiter today!”.

Waiters can also add a small sentence at the end of the bill informing their customers about the National Waiter/Waitress Day.

This year, we are inviting all the community – wherever you are in the world!- to celebrate that particular day!

If you are aware of other national waiter/waitress days in the world, please inform us and we will add them to our calendar!
