BASTILLE DAY PARTY AND WAITER RACE AT GROUNDS FOR SCULPTURE
JULY 14, 2011
Hamilton, NJ (June 10, 2011): Come out to the park for an afternoon and evening of fun, food and festivity during Grounds For Sculpture’s first annual Bastille Day party and waiter race. Root for your favorite central New Jersey restaurants, while their server teams relay to the finish line without spilling their tray contents.
Start the festivities on the patio at Rat’s Restaurant during Grounds For Sculpture’s “Tailgate to the Race” party beginning at 4:30pm. Vintage French music will serenade you as you choose from a selection of cocktails and wine from Perrier-Jouet to get you in the independence spirit while enjoying bread, French cheese, and charcuterie. Then, stroll into the park and settle in to watch the race, which kicks off at 6:00pm. Grounds For Sculpture will be offering half-price admission ($6/person) to the park after 4:30pm for this special event. Or, pay $12/person for Tailgate Party hors d’oeuvres and admission to the park (cocktails not included).
Servers will compete in teams of two in a relay race format, complete with a bottle uncorking challenge, wine pour and tray change mid-course. The winning first, second, and third place teams will be presented with prizes during the awards ceremony at 6:30pm. Prizes will include a variety of exciting prizes. The first annual Bastille Day Waiter Race is generously sponsored by Perrier-Jouet, TD Bank, Interstate Outdoor Advertising, Bucks Life Magazine, WXPN, Discover Jersey Arts, Princeton Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau, WPST, Allied Beverage, Steven Starr Events, and Aztec Graphics.
