Other rules1- The race is limited to waiters or waitresses who have been employed as such with-in the past 12 months. 2- Running is forbidden 3- Tray held by one of the waiter's hands, if touched, steadied or in any way manipulated by more than one hand the participant will be assessed a penalty 4- After crossing finish line waiter must serve a glass of water to judges proving neither glass nor bottle are adhered to tray in any manner. 5- Time shall be from start line to the finish line, plus any penalties, fastest contestant will be declared the winner. 6- PENALTIES are as follows: 5 Seconds • Any significant amount of spillage 10 Seconds • Significant change from original placement 15 Seconds • Whole glass or bottle spilled or broken • Incorrect tray at Finish Line • False Start: Pick up tray early • Touching or steadying tray once started DISQUALIFICATION - those contestants who: • Hold on to glasses or bottles while moving; • Hold tray against their body to steady it; • Put their fingers into a glass at any time; • Re-arrange the constituents on the tray; • Taking shortcuts, or running; • Unethical behavior vis-à-vis other contestants.
