Bravo to Anthony Bertrand, 24 years from the bar The Bodegon for his first victory at La Rochelle waiters race! Anthony completed the 1.5 km race in less than 20 minutes: “we didn’t thought we will have so good candidates… next year we will think about putting more obstacles! !’’ ‘said after the race Stéphane Bonneau, tourism advisor at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and initiator of this project.
More than 24 waiters and waitresses have participated to the race, dressed with original costumes while handling a bottle and four glasses on their tray. Competitors and spectators’ reactions were very positive so that we should expect La Rochelle to organize another waiters race in 2012.. good news!
